  • Day 7.

We awoke for breakfast with a dear old family friend, Ximena.

Then just lazed the day away. Sometimes on vacation, you just have to chillax. Anyway, dinner was served at the fancy dining hall.

    Jenna loved it.

And Caitlin spinned this thing for some cooky visuals.
    MexBlogR - 213

Later that night, we got the whole family in the pool.
    MexBlogR - 214

Where we just sat all in a row.
    MexBlogR - 216

Just kidding, we found several inane little games to compete at. It was tremendous Stephens’ fun.
    MexBlogR - 217

Jenna got so carried away, she faux-hawked it.
    MexBlogR - 218

She also got scraped up in her victorious championship rounds of “get out of the pool feet first.” Not a bad night.
    MexBlogR - 219

    Day 8.

We awoke to the coolest belt ever.
    MexBlogR - 220

And went off to a Mexican shopping classic: The Bazar Sabado.
    MexBlogR - 221

Which made one Miss Jenna-Marie very happy. (I mean, check out those new earrings I got her for a buck fifty!)
    MexBlogR - 222

The Bazaar is cool little gathering of merchants.
    MexBlogR - 223

    That sells all these thingamobobs.
    MexBlogR - 224

    Ceramics.
    MexBlogR - 225 MexBlogR - 227

Even a sculpture artist that uses junk.
    MexBlogR - 228 MexBlogR - 229

    Masks.
    MexBlogR - 230

    Almost everything to adorn anything.
    MexBlogR - 231 MexBlogR - 232

We had to get back, because that day Mexico played Argentina in the elimination round 16. Regrettably, the lost. Boo hoo.
    MexBlogR - 233

That night, our last, we got a dinner treat at the San Angelinn.
    MexBlogR - 234

A hoity-toity place, we all dressed up.
    MexBlogR - 235

    My dad even went hipster.
    MexBlogR - 236

    The food was delectable.
    MexBlogR - 237

I even gave my sister a belated birthday present, previously bought at the bazaar.
    MexBlogR - 238

The San Angelinn has a beautiful garden, which we perused.
    MexBlogR - 239

    It’s pretty dope.
    MexBlogR - 240

    We came back for pictures.
    MexBlogR - 241

Some were more eager to stay than others.
    MexBlogR - 242

So on this last night, I decided to visit my mom. We have a weird relationship, and I don’t see her often, but it was good to enter my old home.
    MexBlogR - 243

    And see the great lady.
    MexBlogR - 244

We also got a blast of the past.
    MexBlogR - 245

Checking out my very first pieces of art.
    MexBlogR - 246

    This being my piece-de-résistance.
    MexBlogR - 247

    But I dabbled in woodwork.
    MexBlogR - 248

    And crayons.
    MexBlogR - 249 MexBlogR - 250

    Even on glass windows.
    MexBlogR - 251

Look at me when I was young.
    MexBlogR - 252

And check out the house, a nice wooded look.
    MexBlogR - 253

With a banister I used to slide on.
    MexBlogR - 254

    The kitchen.
    MexBlogR - 255

    The dining room.
    MexBlogR - 256

    A little living room.
    MexBlogR - 257

    My grandparents.
    MexBlogR - 258

    And the whole family.
    MexBlogR - 259

    Fue muy bueno verte, Mami.
    MexBlogR - 260

    Gracias por todo.
    MexBlogR - 261

    I loved the cacti.
    MexBlogR - 262

Then I returned to my father’s home. Which, you might say, I didn’t blog. But you would be wrong, I did this last time I was back, check it out.
    MexBlogR - 263

Being the last night, I had very little time to add to the Design Trip video, so I did. Putting in a dad’s art piece.
    MexBlogR - 264

    Tom flying.
    MexBlogR - 265

    And Caitlin driving.
    MexBlogR - 266

    Last Day. (boo hoo).

    Said goodbye to my bunny.
    MexBlogR - 267

    Got sick and threw up.
    MexBlogR - 268

Said good bye to a one day guest, Cristophe, friend of Sams who was off to rent a car.
    MexBlogR - 269

    Said goodbye to my dad.
    MexBlogR - 270

Survived a gaggle of screaming kids.
    MexBlogR - 271

Which made Jenna oh so happy.
    MexBlogR - 272

But we made it after all.
    MexBlogR - 273

Not a bad vacation after all.
